Bloody Week-End is a convention aimed at an audience passionated by cult cinema and wishing to meet once a year to exchange about a common passion.
The Bloody Week-End 3rd edition will take place July, 6th, 7th and 8th 2012, at Audincourt, in La Filature.
The idea of this event came out of journeys in several festivals : Gérardmer, Sitges , Strasburg, Lyon, Brussels, Neuchâtel …
Along the chain of discussions between passionates, the wish of creating the Bloody Week-End was born …
Obviously, Loïc Brugnon and his girlfriend Aurélie created an association in December 2009, in order to organize the first cult film passionate’s convention, in July 2010.
During the Bloody Week-End, you have the opportunity to see movies again on big screen, but also to discover novelties in the shape of feature or short films, face to face with actors and directors. For the second following year, a short film competition is taking place outside the convention.
No more a question of being cinema critic, nor director, nor simply a spectator, all passionates are able to meet together and can exchange happily.
Bloody Week-End is a place where everyone meets: cult cinema amateurs, but also different artists such as painters, sculptors, photographers, writers, novel authors, comics …
Out of these exhibitions arise agreements, common projects, …
Bloody Zone association wanted to make a point of making this event easily available to the majority of possible visitors. For this, in particular it has been made sure to find facilities accessible to people of reduced mobility/disabled.
During the first edition, not less than 500 passionates met over 3 days. The second edition gathered 1000 visitors. Based on this records, the association gives itself every means of success in welcoming even more people for the third edition and in becoming a Must -See event in France.
